We couldn’t afford proper display cases when we first stocked the beads so we used type cases from our printing business, Rhos Press.

There was a huge selection to choose from - metal, wood, bone, plastic, fimo in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

We also stocked all the findings and thong to make pendants and earrings.

All still available at Beads Unlimited, known as the Brighton Bead Shop in our day.

Remember the glass letter beads?

1000s sold and turned into earrings and necklaces.

Until we started to pre-package them, we kept all the pony beads in these draws.

So many colours and finishes including neon, glitter, pearlescent, transparent, metallic, glow-in-the-dark. A great time to be a little girl !
