This was our top-of-the-range soft toy collection.

Our Robin Rive teddies and gollies provided the serious collector with a truly magnificent selection of limited edition collectables.

Like a child, each bear was named after it is born, when its own special character emerged. Hand sculpting the head and hand embroidering the features gives a unique personality and a bear that “speaks to you”.

Robin Rive’s innovative bears, with a usual limited edition of between 10 and 300, were made from high quality German and English mohair, pure New Zealand wool and occasionally, man-made fur fabrics. The fabrics were often imported in the raw state then hand-processed and herbal-dyed to give a unique “vintage, well loved” look.

With her signature on the right paw-pad, Robin’s limited edition bears are easily identified. The pads are in a variety of materials - natural suede, ultra suede, chamois, felt or silk.

To keep the bears company, Robin Rive designed a huge range of colourful limited edition gollies. Many have removable clothes, some are fully jointed, some are crocheted; but as “teddy’s best friend” all have gentle. lovable faces.
