The Stone was another product that showed just how forward looking Faze 3 was at the time. Not only did we have to explain a bit about the puzzles, but also explain to a lot of our customers what the “internet” was and what “login credentials” were :-
In 2008, The Stone closed down but you can still play at The Stone Monument who took over the puzzles.
THE STONE ONLINE PUZZLE
The Stone was an online game developed by web company Abject Modernity Internet Creations Inc. The mystery game was created in 1996 but launched as a consumer product in 1997. People had to buy a physical stone containing the login credentials to the website, which was unheard of at the time.
